Hi, I´m Jule

Artist, screen printer and the creator of Kapalilua.

I am inspired by the magic of life and nature. They are my guides. And to grow and shape my vision I use screen printing, drawing and movement.

My creations are printed on textile and other media such as paper and canvas.

I have created a line of ethical and sustainable fashion, and I also teach creative screen printing workshops.

Kapalilua is my personal and artistic research project.

Drawing is my passion!

I studied engraving and printing techniques at the School of Arts and Crafts in Pamplona.

The I travelled to Turin with a scholarship to work at the intaglio engraving workshop l’Artificio, with the artist Claudio Molinari.

I have been trained in different engraving and printing techniques. But among them, screen printing became my passion, for its immediacy and the infinite possibilities of experimentation that it offered me.

The process of creating an image from the stain and the void is full of magic.

Conscientious stamping

In 2016 I started teaching creative screen printing workshops in cultural centers, schools and gaztetxokos in towns of Navarre. Some of these workshops I have focused on different themes such as respect for nature and sustainability in the fashion industry.

For my clothing line and creations I had print each garment in my workshop.

I work with natural organic cotton fabrics. This allows me to create comfortable, breathable and flexible clothing. The inks I use are water-based, which makes them environmentally friendly.

My designs are based on elements of nature, such as different plants and flowers. I want to transmit its vibration, energy and beauty, so the colors I use are vibrant, cheerful and full of energy.

My workshop in the middle of nature

My workshop is located in Ziordia, a small village in the Basque valley of Sakana. From there I can see the incredible Urbasa mountain range, which inspires me and accompanies my creative processes.

This hypnotic green mantle is home to a diverse local flora and fauna. When you walk through it, you can feel the presence of the generations that inhabited it in the past, as well as their legends and myths.

This is where the magic happens, under the influence of the Urbasa mountain range, my main stage.
